Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced AI / Machine Learning Engineer to design and build an AI-powered Features for our quick commerce mobile application. The feature will enable users to digitally organize their choice of products and recommendations, and make smart purchasing decisions through AI-driven personalization, image recognition, and real-time inventory integration. You will work closely with product managers, mobile engineers, designers, and backend teams to deliver a seamless, scalable, and highly accurate AI experience optimized for speed—core to quick commerce.
- Key Responsibilities
- AI & Machine Learning
- Design and implement computer vision models for clothing detection, categorization, and attribute extraction (color, fabric, style, season).
- Build outfit recommendation systems using user preferences, purchase history, weather, occasion, and trends.
- Develop personalization algorithms tailored to individual user style and behavior.
- Train, evaluate, and optimize ML models for low latency and high accuracy in mobile environments.
- Virtual Wardrobe Features
- Enable users to upload images or sync purchases to auto-create a digital presence.
- Implement smart tagging and wardrobe organization using AI.
- Recommend outfits from existing wardrobe items and available quick commerce inventory.
- Support mix-and-match, style suggestions, and "buy-to-complete-the-look" features.
- Integration & Performance
- Integrate AI models with mobile apps (iOS/Android) and backend services.
- Optimize models for real-time inference and edge/cloud deployment.
- Collaborate with backend teams to connect recommendations with live product catalogs and inventory.
- Ensure scalability to support high concurrent user traffic.
- Data & Experimentation
- Work with large-scale image and behavioral datasets.
- Conduct A/B testing and continuously improve recommendation quality.
- Monitor model performance, bias, and drift.
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Skills
- Strong experience in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or ONNX.
- Hands-on experience with Computer Vision (CNNs, object detection, image embeddings).
- Experience building recommendation systems (collaborative filtering, content-based, hybrid).
- Familiarity with mobile ML deployment (TensorFlow Lite, Core ML).
- Experience with REST APIs, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), and MLOps pipelines.
- Knowledge of databases and data pipelines.
- Domain Knowledge
- Understanding of fashion, apparel attributes, and styling concepts (preferred).
- Experience with e-commerce or quick commerce platforms is a strong plus.
- Experience: 3–6 years (flexible based on skillset)
- Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with generative AI for outfit visualization or style suggestions.
- Knowledge of LLMs for conversational styling or virtual fashion assistants.
- Background in real-time systems or high-scale consumer apps.
- Familiarity with AR/try-on technologies.
