About Us
PT DMC Indonesia is developing an industrial-scale Smart Greenhouse System integrating IoT (LoRaWAN), Node-RED, MQTT, Supabase PostgreSQL, and AI (LLM + CNN). This system will automate greenhouse devices, monitor real-time plant conditions, and generate AI-based recommendations.
- We are looking for a Backend Engineer to build the core technical backbone of this platform.
- 🎯 Job Description
- The Backend Engineer will develop APIs, automation logic, device-control services, and AI integrations for our Smart Greenhouse platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain REST / WebSocket APIs for real-time sensor ingestion, device control (fans, vents, pumps, valves) via MQTT or Router API, and AI integration (LLM reasoning)
- Integrate data flows from Node-RED → MQTT → Supabase PostgreSQL.
- Build backend services for device control, alert engine & automation logic, and event-driven actions
- Implement authentication, rate limiting, error handling, and secure API patterns.
- Create middleware enabling two-way communication between IoT hardware, backend server, and web dashboard
- Provide API documentation for the frontend & AI engineering teams.
- Debug end-to-end issues (IoT → Node-RED → Backend → DB → Dashboard).
- Collaborate with the Database Engineer for optimal schema and query performance.
- 📌 Qualifications
- 1–3 years experience as a Backend Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript), and Python (FastAPI / Flask)
- Good understanding of REST API & WebSocket, MQTT / event-driven systems, Docker & container workflows, and Git version control
- Experience integrating with PostgreSQL, Supabase, InfluxDB, or any similar database.
- Familiar with IoT integrations, Node-RED or Home Assistant.
- Knowledge of distributed systems or microservices.
- Experience integrating AI inference or LLM-based services.
- Clear communication with English and problem-solving mindset.
- Able to work independently in a small, fast-moving team.
- Strong ownership of assigned modules.
