Redikru builds products for job seekers, employers, and the crewing industry. We're hiring a mid-level backend engineer to build dependable systems in Golang and Node.js, make sound architectural decisions, and use AI well in everyday work. There's room to grow into a Full-Stack or Forward Deployed Engineer role as the company grows.

What you'll do

Build and maintain backend services and REST APIs in Golang and Node.js (TypeScript), including data models, migrations, integrations, and system architecture.

Work with PostgreSQL, Redis, job queues, background workers, and SSE, and design for transactions, caching, retries, failure handling, and feature-flagged rollouts.

Write tests (unit and integration against real infrastructure) and documentation.

Investigate production issues and improve performance, reliability, security, and observability across Docker, Kubernetes/Helm, AWS S3, OpenSearch, and CI/CD.

• Use AI for exploration, planning, coding, testing, and debugging, and review its output before it ships.
• Make small frontend changes when needed and work with product and operations to solve real business problems.

What we're looking for

Backend engineering experience building production REST APIs in Golang and Node.js/TypeScript. Deep in one and comfortable in the other is fine.

• Framework experience such as Gin (Go) or NestJS/Express (Node.js).
• Solid PostgreSQL skills: schema design, transactions, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Redis, async processing, and failure handling.
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, Kubernetes/Helm, cloud infrastructure, and observability.
• Good judgment on system design, testing, and security, plus clear communication.
• Pluses: React, gRPC.
