About the role
- Kanary Bakery is seeking an experienced
- Baker
- to join our team in Bali. This is a
- full-time position
that offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic bakery operation. As a Baker, you will be responsible for producing high-quality baked goods, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to the growth and reputation of our bakery. This role is essential to our daily operations and directly impacts the quality of products our customers enjoy.
- What you'll be doing
- Preparing and baking a variety of bread, pastries, cakes and other baked goods according to established recipes and quality standards
- Measuring, mixing and combining ingredients using industrial baking equipment
- Monitoring baking times and temperatures to ensure products are baked to perfection
- Decorating and finishing baked products as required
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the bakery, including proper storage of ingredients and finished products
- Managing inventory of baking ingredients and notifying management of supplies that need replenishing
- Following food safety regulations and best practices at all times
- Collaborating with team members to meet daily production targets
- Operating and maintaining bakery equipment safely and effectively
- What we're looking for
- Proven experience working as a Baker, ideally in a commercial or bakery setting
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients and food science principles
- Proficiency with commercial baking equipment and tools
- Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene protocols
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Physical stamina to perform standing, lifting and repetitive tasks throughout shifts
- Relevant baking qualifications or certifications, such as a professional baking diploma or food safety certification
- Ability to work early morning shifts, as required by bakery operations
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
