BI Engineer / BI Developer (Must fluent in English)

About the role

• PT. SIGMA GLOBAL TEKNOLOGI (SIGMATECH) is seeking a skilled and motivated
• BI Engineer / BI Developer

to join our growing technology team. This is a contract position based in South Tangerang, Banten, offering an excellent opportunity to work on innovative business intelligence solutions that drive data-driven decision-making across our organisation. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence systems and data analytics platforms that transform raw data into actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels.

• Key responsibilities
• Design and develop comprehensive business intelligence solutions, including data warehouses, data marts, and analytics platforms
• Create and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure accurate and timely data integration from multiple sources
• Develop interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms

Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications

• Optimise database performance and ensure data quality through rigorous testing and validation procedures
• Troubleshoot and resolve BI-related issues, providing technical support to end users and internal teams
• Document technical specifications, data models, and system architecture to maintain comprehensive project records
• Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in business intelligence and data analytics
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices and standards
• What we're looking for
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) – this is essential for communication with international teams and stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience as a BI Engineer, BI Developer, or in a similar data analytics role
• Strong proficiency with BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, QlikView, or Microstrategy
• Advanced SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle)
• Experience with ETL tools and frameworks (SSIS, Apache NiFi, Talend, Informatica, or similar)
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modelling, and database design principles
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or C#
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is highly desirable
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and agile development methodologies is preferred
