Goals/Objectives

Customer Service Excellence: As a Cashier/Waiter/Waitress at Joi Local Eats, your primary goal is to provide exceptional customer service. Greet each guest with a big warm and welcoming smile, ensuring they feel welcomed into our community

Efficient Order Processing: Accurately and efficiently take food and beverage orders from customers. Pay attention to special requests and dietary preferences, communicating them clearly to the team.

Payment Handling and Point-of-Sale Operations: Handle payment transactions with precision and integrity. Operate the point-of-sale system efficiently, ensuring accurate billing and timely processing.

Prompt Order Delivery: Since we offer Nasi Campur, where customers select dishes from the display, your responsibility is to plate the orders promptly for our customers' enjoyment.

Menu Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with the menu offerings and ingredients to confidently answer customer questions and provide recommendations based on their preferences.

Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations. Ensure the counter and cafe area is tidy and inviting for our customers.

Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the kitchen and other service staff to create a seamless and coordinated customer experience. Effective communication with all team will help ensure order accuracy and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Greeting and Seating: Welcome guests with a warm greeting, assist in seating, and provide menus.
• Order Taking: Record food and beverage orders accurately, checking for any modifications or special requests.

Food and Beverage Service: Serve dishes and beverages to customers' tables, ensuring items are presented attractively and in a timely manner.

• Payment Processing: Process payments using the point-of-sale system and handle cash transactions with attention to accuracy.
• Table Clearing: Clear and clean tables after customers have finished their meals.
• Customer Assistance: Address customer inquiries, concerns, and special requests promptly and courteously.
• Upselling: Suggest additional menu items or promotions to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
• Team Support: Collaborate with kitchen and other service staff to maintain efficient operations and provide excellent service.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous Experience: Prior 3 year experience in cashiering, waiting, or customer service in a cafe.
• English Proficiency: Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Customer-Focused: Strong customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude.
• Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to Detail: Pay close attention to order accuracy and customer needs.

Special Dietary Expertise: Experience in preparing and cooking plant-based, vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free, and gluten-free dishes will be an advantage. Your versatility in catering to diverse dietary preferences will enhance our menu offerings.

Multilingual Skills: Proficiency in languages other than English, especially languages spoken by our diverse international community, will be highly regarded.

Food Safety: Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is a plus.
