Contract Manager

Position Overview

Contracts Manager is responsible for contract management activities across the Project. The role leads tender and negotiation processes, manages contractor engagement and performance, contract outcomes, and delivers commercial value while ensuring compliance with supply chain standards and governance requirements. The position applies sound commercial judgement and works collaboratively with stakeholders to identify opportunities, manage risks and achieve sustainable contracting outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Develop contractor pre-qualification frameworks and manage end-to-end tender processes.

Draft, negotiate, and finalize complex construction and supply agreements, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budget limits, and risk objectives.

• Lead detailed commercial bid evaluations, contract awards and proactively resolve contractual disputes.
• Ensure all agreements conform to specific mining regulations, labor standards, and health/safety codes.

Prepare reports on contract status and contractor performance. Act as the point of contact for internal teams, contractors, and other stakeholders, facilitating communication and collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Law or Engineering

Minimum 15 years of experience in commercial contract management, preferably within mining, heavy industrial, civil construction, or infrastructure projects.

• Proven experience managing complex construction, engineering, EPC/EPCM, and supply contracts.
• Strong knowledge of contract law and Indonesian mining regulations.
• Experience in tender management, contract negotiation, and contractor performance management.
• Strong understanding of industry-standard contract frameworks such as FIDIC.
• Experience in commercial risk management, claims management, and dispute resolution.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, written and verbal.
