As a Corporate Finance and Credit Analyst, you will play a crucial role in evaluating financial opportunities, assessing credit risk, and supporting our corporate finance initiatives. This position is essential to our ability to make sound investment decisions and manage credit exposure effectively, directly contributing to the financial health and growth of our organisation.
- Key responsibilities
- Analyse corporate financial statements, cash flow projections, and historical performance to assess creditworthiness of company
- Liased with bank credit officers on our loan requirements
- Evaluate corporate finance transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, refinancing activities, and capital restructuring proposals
- Develop financial models to forecast future performance and determine appropriate lending terms and pricing
- Conduct industry and competitive analysis to contextualise corporate performance within broader market conditions
- Monitor existing credit facilities and borrower performance, identifying potential deterioration or emerging risks
- Support the preparation of investment committee documentation and presentations for senior management decision-making
- Collaborate with relationship managers, underwriters, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive credit and financial assessments
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal credit policies throughout the analysis and approval process
- Provide ongoing financial advisory support to corporate clients on capital structure optimisation and financial planning
- What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3-5 years of professional experience in corporate finance, credit analysis, investment banking, or a similar financial role
- Strong proficiency in financial analysis, including the ability to interpret financial statements, ratios analysis, and cash flow modelling
- Demonstrated expertise in credit risk assessment and the ability to evaluate borrower creditworthiness effectively
- Excellent skills in financial modelling, valuation techniques, and use of financial analysis software and Microsoft Excel
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance principles, lending practices, and regulatory requirements in the banking sector
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to diverse audiences
- Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a team environment
- Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or similar qualifications are preferred
- Experience with specific industries such as manufacturing, infrastructure, or energy sectors is advantageous
