• Markethac is an e-commerce analytics platform that helps businesses gain actionable insights from marketplace data across platforms.

We’re looking for a Mid-Level Data Engineer who is passionate about building reliable, scalable, and efficient data pipelines to support our data analytics and business intelligence needs.

• What You'll Do
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and processing.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Develop and maintain data models using dbt to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Orchestrate and monitor data workflows using Apache Airflow.
• Work with databases and data warehouses to optimize query performance and data processing efficiency.
• Implement data quality checks, troubleshoot pipeline failures, and resolve data-related issues.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable and analytics-ready datasets.
• Apply AI-assisted coding tools to improve development productivity, code quality, and workflow efficiency.
• Maintain clean, maintainable, and well-documented code using Git and CI/CD practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in Data Engineering or a related role.
• Proficient in Python, including data processing libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
• Hands-on experience with at least one of the following: MongoDB, ClickHouse, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake.
• Experience with dbt (must-have) for data transformation and modeling.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow (must-have) for workflow orchestration.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience using Docker for containerization and GitLab CI/CD for version control and deployment workflows.
• Familiarity with AI coding assistants such as OpenAI Codex and Claude Code.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to data quality.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with large-scale e-commerce or marketplace datasets.
• Understanding of data warehouse architecture, dimensional modeling, and ETL/ELT best practices.
• Experience optimizing SQL queries and building efficient analytical data models.
• Familiarity with ClickHouse for analytical workloads.
