Data Engineer

Responsible for developing, maintaining, and evaluating big data solutions across functional / process content areas. Uses data management best practices and innovative, fit-for-purpose technologies to build stable, flexible, high-performing data & analytics products that help reduce the lead time from data collection to insight generation. Assembles large, complex data sets (e.g. text, time series, imagery) into a useful format for analysis using fit-for-purpose database technologies and designs, builds and orchestrates ETL pipelines.

MAJOR TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Key business process engineering (BPR) operator for digital transformation execution of manufacturing operations by enabling the operational identify inefficiencies, developing practical digital solutions, and integrating data across function to improve site performance decision-making, and operational excellence. Supporting the acceleration process of fragmented improvement toward a structure, data-driven, and integrated manufacturing system.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Develop and maintain digital solutions, including but not limited to applications interdashboards, and automation solutions to support site operations data management.

Support Production Engineers and Site Teams to identify operational information and data lucidity by implementing digital solutions which enables Non-Value-Added Activities eliminations.

• Integrate and manage operational data from multiple functions, to improve visibility reporting and decision-making.
• Support operational excellence initiatives through data analysis, process digitalization and performance tracking.
• Drive the adoption of digital tools by providing user support, training, and recommendation.
• Ensure digital solutions are sustainable, standardized and align with business and site priorities.
• Collaborate across sites and functions to replicate best practices and support the Degree sites digital transformation roadmap.

Continuously evaluate, enhance, and evolve digital solutions to ensure scalability, user adoption, operational relevance, and alignment with changing business needs and site strategies.

Pivotal points of continuous operational data management by establishing and maintaining a reliable operational data ecosystem, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, governance, and continuous availability of critical site information to support business performance and decision making.
