Early Years Assistant Teacher

About the role

Umalas Kids Club (UKC) is a well-established British EYFS Preschool and Daycare located in Umalas, Bali, welcoming children from 6 months to 6 years of age. We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and committed Early Years Assistant Teacher who is passionate about working with young children and wants to grow professionally within an international preschool.

• Key responsibilities
• Support the Classroom Teacher in delivering engaging play based learning experiences following the British EYFS curriculum
• Help create a safe, organised, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment
• Build warm and respectful relationships with children while encouraging their independence and confidence
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, meals, transitions, and daily routines
• Prepare learning materials and assist with classroom organisation
• Support children's personal care, hygiene, and wellbeing with kindness and professionalism
• Observe children's learning and communicate important information to the Classroom Teacher
• Work closely with colleagues to maintain high standards of care, safety, and professionalism
• Contribute positively to our collaborative and supportive school culture
• About you
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Education, Psychology, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree is an advantage
• At least one year of experience working with young children. Experience in an international preschool or EYFS setting is an advantage
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia with conversational English. English is the primary language used at school
• Genuine passion for working with young children
• Strong sense of responsibility, honesty, and professionalism
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Organised, proactive, and able to take initiative
