FORMULATRIX
- is expanding its Bandung team! As an
- Electrical Research Engineer
you will design and build hardware modules, rapidly iterating from proof-of-concept to prototypes to final design for a product. In this particular role you’ll be implementing a smart camera monitoring system that integrates with multiple cameras and instruments. You will take full ownership of the project, following direction from the Product Manager.
- What you will do
- Build and test hardware interfaces for appropriate image sensors / cameras.
- Design and optimize streaming pipelines for network transmission over ethernet.
- Integrate hardware and software components together to maximize performance and decrease latency.
- Write reports and present findings.
- Collaborate with the Product Manager and software team to translate requirements into technical designs.
- What we look for
- Qualification: at least Bachelor’s degree (S1/D4) in Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- Previous experience working with camera systems.
Technical skills
Embedded software / firmware programming (e.g. Raspberry Pi).
Hands-on experience building electronics prototypes, interfacing with sensors, and working with instruments (oscilloscope, multimeter, function generator).
Circuit analysis and design (analog and digital).
Soft skills
- Highly motivated.
- Strong team player.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new skills.
- Good English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Nice to have
- PoE, networking, and network protocols.
- Camera interfaces (e.g. PoE, IP camera, MIPI CSI-2, GigE Vision).
Video compression and streaming protocols (e.g. H.264/H.265, RTSP, GStreamer), and techniques (e.g. high resolution 4K streaming, substream).
- Experience with hardware video encoder and decoders.
- Computer vision libraries (e.g. OpenCV).
- PCB design.
- Digital signal processing.
- Software engineering practices (e.g. SDLC, design patterns, version control).
- Familiarity with Linux kernel drivers or V4L2 (Video4Linux2).
