- Advise the team on job requirements, manpower, materials and estimated work required.
- Assist with site inspections and preparation of quotations for complicated electrical works when necessary.
- Identify potential problems before work begins and communicate them clearly to the relevant team.
- Ensure jobs are completed within a reasonable timeframe without compromising safety or quality.
- Strong practical experience in electrical installation, repair and troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Able to diagnose electrical problems independently.
- Able to supervise and guide other electricians.
- Strong sense of responsibility and workmanship.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Able to communicate clearly with technicians, operations staff and customers.
- Willing to take ownership of difficult electrical cases.
- Safety-conscious and disciplined in following procedures.
- Relevant electrical qualifications or certifications will be an advantage.
- The Senior Electrical Supervisor is not simply the most experienced electrician in the team. He is expected to
- raise the performance of the entire electrical department
Success in this position means
Better diagnosis → Better workmanship → Fewer callbacks → Faster job completion → Better-trained electricians → Higher customer satisfaction
The Senior Electrical Supervisor should gradually build a team that can handle most electrical jobs independently, with fewer technical problems requiring escalation to management.
