Executive - Laboratory

Qualification

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Engineering (Industrial), or equivalent.
• At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field especially garmet is advantage.
• Required language(s): English
• Have a good understanding of textile properties, testing methods, and quality standards.
• Understands the different stages of garment manufacturing and potential quality issues.
• Have self motivation, dynamic and task driven.

Job Responsibilities

Managing laboratory equipment, consumables, and procedures for testing fabric and garment properties.

Conducting various tests, including physical (e.g., GSM, shrinkage), chemical (e.g., colorfastness, flammability), and mechanical (e.g., seam strength, abrasion resistance) tests.

• Identifying and resolving quality issues during bulk production, such as color shading, fabric damage, or width variations.
• Working with technical officers, production teams, and suppliers to address quality issues and ensure adherence to standards.
• Maintaining records of testing results, supplier performance, and issues encountered during production.
• Assisting in evaluating supplier performance based on material quality and adherence to specifications.
• Ensuring adherence to relevant standards and certifications, such as ISO 9001:2015, and undergoing training to maintain accreditation.
• Ensuring adherence to health and safety procedures during testing processes.
• Handle Nike lab accreditation with 3rd party annually.
