Export Import Manager

Responsibilities

Import Operations

Lead and manage the end-to-end import process to ensure timely and compliant product arrivals.

Shipment Planning

Develop and monitor import timelines, shipment schedules, and documentation requirements.

Regulatory Compliance

Ensure compliance with import regulations, permits, customs requirements, and government policies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Coordinate with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth import operations.

Risk Management

Proactively identify potential risks and implement mitigation plans to prevent shipment delays.

Performance Monitoring

Monitor import performance, prepare reports, and provide regular updates to management.

Process Improvement

Drive continuous improvements and establish efficient import SOPs and operational workflows.

Team Leadership

Lead, coach, and develop the Import team to achieve operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Import, Logistics, or Supply Chain, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of import regulations, customs clearance, and international shipping processes.
• Excellent planning, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong leadership with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Background in retail or consumer goods is a strong advantage.
