Export Import Supervisor (Perizinan Import)

Key responsibilities

Oversee and manage the complete import licensing and permitting process, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete and submitted within required timeframes

• Coordinate with Indonesian customs authorities and relevant government agencies to obtain necessary import permits and licences
• Review and verify import documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, packing lists and certificates of origin
• Monitor regulatory changes and updates to import policies, ensuring the organisation remains compliant with current requirements
• Supervise and mentor junior staff involved in import documentation and licensing activities
• Liaise with shipping companies, freight forwarders and customs brokers to facilitate import clearance processes
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive records of all import transactions and licensing documentation
• Identify and resolve compliance issues and discrepancies in import documentation
• Generate reports on import activities and regulatory compliance status for management review
• Support cost optimisation initiatives within import operations whilst maintaining full regulatory compliance

What we're looking for

• Proven experience of 3+ years in import/export operations, customs compliance or related logistics roles
• Good understanding of SAP system and its applications in import-export operations.
• Certified Customs Expert (Ahli Kepabeanan) certificate is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Export, Import, Customs Regulations, and Import Licensing requirements.
• Proficient in using CEISA 4.0 and SIMODIS systems.
• Strong communication skills in both Indonesian and English, both written and verbal
• Leadership capabilities and experience supervising team members
• Knowledge of food industry import requirements would be advantageous
