Fullstack Developer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer (SFSD) to work alongside our existing Product Development team whilst maintaining a core focus on building new product features and leading R&D projects to enhance LAAMP. The SFSD must have the ability to take a “big picture”, strategic viewpoint, make technical recommendations and implement best practice around work structure. You will work collaboratively with a hybrid team of developers and must demonstrate strong technical skills and high quality code.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, personable and strategic and have the opportunity to grow with the role into a Software Development Lead / Manager in the future.

• Duties will include;
• Collaborate with other colleagues to plan, design, develop, test and maintain business applications
• Analyse and resolve technical/application problems
• Maintain high standards of software quality
• Provide support to the Product Owner and wider business
• Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery
• Provide technical leadership to the team through coaching & mentoring
• Responsibilities will include;
• Design, develop, test and deploy changes to the software in accordance with established standards.

Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and changes, providing critical and constructive feedback, challenging peers and supporting their growth.

• Communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, with management, colleagues and internal customers.
• Recommend software improvements to maintain fitness for purpose.
• Facilitate root cause analysis and resolve complex technical and functional issues.
• Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software.
• Possess and regularly gather up-to-date knowledge of technological developments in the industry.

Collaborate with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements, develop user stories, estimates and work plans with attention to system integration and feasibility.

• Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired product.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

SENIOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Communicate relevant technical concepts and guidelines to development team.
• Oversee progress of development to ensure consistency with initial design.
• Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security,modifiability, extensibility etc.
• Provide technical leadership to the team through coaching and mentorship.
• Technical competency to encompass the same scope as for Developer, but to a Senior level.
