Job Description

Responsible for supervising and coordinating daily construction activities at project sites. Manage workers, monitor work progress, maintain workmanship standards and ensure all site activities are carried out safely and according to project requirements and schedules.

• Roles & Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate daily construction works on site.
• Plan and allocate manpower according to daily work requirements.
• Lead and supervise workers to ensure works are completed properly and on schedule.
• Monitor construction progress and report site issues to the Site Manager/Project Manager.
• Coordinate with main contractors, subcontractors and other site personnel.
• Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and instructions.
• Monitor workmanship and quality of construction works.
• Ensure workers comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements.
• Conduct or assist with toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
• Ensure workers use appropriate PPE and follow safe work procedures.
• Coordinate the delivery and usage of construction materials, tools and equipment.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and safe working conditions.
• Assist with site inspections and rectification works.
• Perform other construction-site duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in construction, shipyard, marine, engineering or industrial site operations.
• Previous experience in a foreman, supervisor or team-leader role is preferred.
• Experience supervising and coordinating workers on site.
• Good understanding of workplace safety and site procedures.
• Able to plan manpower and coordinate daily site activities.
• Able to communicate and work effectively with workers, supervisors and management.
• Relevant workplace safety and supervisory training/certificates will be an advantage.
• Willing to work at different construction project sites when required.
