The Opportunity

We invest across the full spectrum — public equities, private transactions, and M&A — and the quality of our decisions rests on the depth of our research. This is a pure analysis seat: your job is to develop conviction on investment opportunities through rigorous, first-principles research, not to originate deal flow. You will work directly with senior investors and own the analytical work that drives investment committee decisions.

What Success Looks Like in Year One

Twelve months in, you will have produced deep-dive research on companies and industries that shaped real capital allocation decisions — across both public positions and private transactions — and become the person the investment committee trusts to have done the work: the model is right, the thesis is stress-tested, and the risks are named before anyone asks.

What You'll Do

Conduct deep fundamental research on companies, industries, and competitive dynamics across global markets — primary sources, expert calls, filings, and channel checks

Build and own valuation work across asset types: DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions, LBO, and merger models for private deals; earnings models and scenario analysis for public positions

• Evaluate investment opportunities across public equities, private transactions, and M&A situations against the firm's investment criteria
• Write investment committee memos and research reports that make a clear, defensible recommendation — including the case against
• Support transaction analysis through due diligence: quality of earnings review, data room analysis, and synthesis of advisor workstreams
• Monitor existing positions and portfolio companies, updating theses as facts change

Requirements

3–5 years of experience in investment banking, equity research, or principal investing (M&A, corporate finance advisory, or buy-side analysis)

• Demonstrated depth of analytical work — research or deal materials you owned end-to-end that informed real decisions
• Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills across both transaction and public-market contexts; fluency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong written communication — the core output of this role is written research and IC memos
• Professional-grade English; the role covers global markets and counterparties
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
• Nice to Have
• Experience spanning both public and private markets (e.g., equity research plus M&A, or banking plus buy-side)
• Cross-border transaction or multi-region coverage experience
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, and familiarity with deal conventions (quality of earnings, reps & warranties)
• CFA progress or completion
