Job Description
- Head of Finance & Accounting
- Position Summary
The Head of Finance & Accounting is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of Hookah Habibi, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, budgeting, cash flow management, taxation, compliance, payroll, and business profitability.
This role will work closely with management to provide strategic financial insights while ensuring all financial activities comply with Indonesian accounting standards and government regulations.
- Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management
- Lead and manage the entire finance and accounting department.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accuracy of Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reports.
- Monitor business profitability across all branches.
- Analyse financial performance and recommend improvements.
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Prepare annual operating budgets.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets.
- Forecast revenue, expenses and cash requirements.
- Recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Cash Flow Management
- Monitor daily cash positions.
- Manage working capital.
- Ensure sufficient liquidity.
- Approve payment schedules.
- Forecast future cash flow requirements.

- Ensure full compliance with Indonesian tax regulations.
- Liaise with external tax consultants when required.

- Monthly financial reports submitted by the 5th working day.
- 100% compliance with tax lodgements.
- Cash flow forecast accuracy above 95%.
- Inventory variance below 1%.
- Zero unexplained cash shortages.
- Payroll processed accurately and on time.
- Budget variance maintained within approved limits.
- Successful completion of internal and external audits.
- Reduction in unnecessary operating costs.
- Timely collection of receivables and management of payables.
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance management.
- At least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in hospitality, restaurants, cafés, or multi-branch operations is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK), taxation, and labour regulations.
- Technical Skills

- Accounting software (Accurate, Jurnal, SAP, Xero, or equivalent).

- Establish and enforce financial policies and controls.
- Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and tax consultants.
- Supervise and evaluate finance department staff.
- Escalate significant financial risks or irregularities directly to the Managing Director and Owners.
