Head of Construction

Key Responsibilities

Construction Leadership: Lead and oversee all construction activities across hospitality developments, from pre-construction and procurement through execution and handover.

Project Delivery: Establish construction strategies, monitor progress and ensure delivery against approved scope, budget, programme and quality standards.

Cost & Commercial Control: Oversee construction budgets, cost planning, forecasting, variations and commercial performance, with a strong focus on cost efficiency.

Contractor Management: Lead the selection, appointment and performance management of contractors, consultants and key project partners.

Team Leadership: Build and lead high-performing construction teams, including Project Managers, Site Managers and relevant technical functions.

Quality & Technical Oversight: Ensure construction works meet design intent, technical requirements, hospitality standards and applicable regulations.

Risk & Problem Solving: Identify construction risks, resolve critical issues and implement recovery strategies to keep projects on track.

Stakeholder Management: Work closely with senior management, designers, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders to drive effective decision-making and project delivery.

Compliance & Safety: Ensure all construction activities comply with applicable building regulations, permits, health and safety requirements and company standards.

International Exposure, Real Responsibility : Work closely with international leadership, consultants and development partners while having genuine influence over key construction and commercial decisions.

Head of Construction

A Head of Construction is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing construction strategy, delivery and performance across Rentaved’s hospitality developments. The role leads the construction function from planning and procurement through execution, completion and handover, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, cost and schedule.

• Requirements & Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or a related field.

Experience: 10+ years of construction experience, with a proven track record in senior construction, project management or development roles.

Hospitality Experience: Strong experience in hotel, resort, luxury residential or other high-end hospitality developments is highly preferred.

Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of construction methodologies, architectural and MEP coordination, procurement, contracts and project controls.

• Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, evaluate costs, control variations and drive cost efficiency.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, contractors and consultants across complex development projects.
• Project Management: Strong knowledge of project scheduling, risk management, reporting and construction management systems.
• Communication: Excellent English communication skills with the ability to work effectively with international and local stakeholders.
