Head of Engineering (KLI-107)

Must-have

8+ years of software engineering experience, including time as a Tech Lead, Principal Engineer, or early-stage Head of Engineering, and you are still hands-on in the codebase today

Deep PostgreSQL expertise: normalized schema design, transactional integrity, indexing, and structuring vector search alongside operational data

• Proven experience migrating unstructured/NoSQL data into relational models
• Track record of building automated test suites, end-to-end regression frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong command of modern backend stacks (TypeScript/Node.js, Python, or Go), including runtime mechanics, async processing, and API design

Practical experience integrating LLMs for tool use, structured extraction, and workflow execution, and a clear understanding of why deterministic logic must wrap non-deterministic models

High product empathy: you want to understand the customers real business problem before writing the architecture doc

Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to turn ambiguous requirements into strict programmatic logic alongside founders and engineers

• Experience as a Founding Engineer or technical leader at a high-growth B2B SaaS startup
• Experience modeling field service, dispatch, booking, or SMB operations workflows
• Experience integrating WhatsApp Business API, Twilio, or similar channels with transactional backends
• Hands-on experience orchestrating coding agents (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) within a governed team development lifecycle
