About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Host/Hostess to join the team at Huge Restaurant in Badung, Bali. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in creating an exceptional first impression for our guests. As the face of our restaurant, you will be responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a seamless dining experience from the moment they arrive. This role is essential to our operations and directly impacts guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- What you'll be doing
- Greeting guests with warmth and professionalism as they arrive at the restaurant
- Managing the reservation system and coordinating table assignments based on guest preferences and restaurant capacity
- Providing accurate information about wait times and menu offerings to guests
- Seating guests promptly whilst maintaining an organised flow throughout the dining area
- Answering telephone enquiries and handling booking requests in a professional manner
- Maintaining accurate records of reservations and guest preferences to enhance personalised service
- Assisting with guest requests and problem-solving any dining issues that may arise
- Coordinating with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations
- Maintaining a clean and welcoming host stand area
- Contributing to a positive team atmosphere and supporting colleagues across all departments
- What we're looking for
- Proven experience in a host/hostess or front-of-house role within a hospitality setting, preferably in a restaurant environment
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with guests from diverse backgrounds
- Strong organisational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple reservations and prioritise tasks effectively
- Proficiency in restaurant reservation systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology
- A calm and patient demeanour with excellent problem-solving capabilities
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
- A genuine passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are advantageous
