About the role
Seven Clean Seas is looking for an HR & People Operations Executive to join our team in Batam, Indonesia. We build Ocean Impact Projects and empower communities to turn the tide on plastic pollution. Success in this position means effectively managing end-to-end HR operations in PT Seven Clean Seas Group, ensuring full compliance with Indonesian labour laws, and fostering a positive, efficient, and people-first work environment. In this role, you will report directly to the General Manager of Global Projects.
- Key responsibilities
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including comprehensive onboarding processes, employment contracts, and offboarding or exit interviews
- Maintain accurate HR master data, employee records, and proper documentation in Google Drive and internal systems
- Support monthly payroll preparation and validation, ensuring the accuracy of salary calculations, overtime, allowances, and deductions
- Manage BPJS Kesehatan and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan registrations, updates, monthly contributions, and reporting
Ensure strict compliance with Indonesian labour laws (UU Ketenagakerjaan), local regulations, tax compliance (PPh 21), and minimum wage regulations (UMK Batam)
Act as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, HR-related queries, and support a positive workplace culture aligned with company values
- Assist managers with performance review cycles, disciplinary matters, and implementing improvement plans
- Coordinate training sessions, identify employee development needs, and support process improvement initiatives for operational efficiency
- About you
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in HR Operations / People Operations in Indonesia
- Proven experience using HRIS (specifically Mekari Talenta or a similar platform)
- Hands-on experience in operating Edabu (for BPJS Kesehatan) and SIPP (for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan)
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian labour laws, BPJS regulations, and HR compliance
- Experience handling payroll, statutory reporting, and comprehensive HR administration
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a high attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Based in Batam or willing to relocate
