We are looking for a Hydrology & Hydraulic Engineer to perform hydrological and hydraulic analyses for water resources and infrastructure projects. The role covers watershed analysis, rainfall and discharge assessment, flood estimation, rainfall-runoff modeling, and hydraulic simulation to support projects such as flood control, drainage systems, rivers, dams, irrigation, and water supply infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Perform watershed (catchment) delineation and hydrological analysis, including catchment characteristics, land use, slope, drainage networks, and runoff response.
Develop rainfall-runoff and hydrological models using HEC-HMS and/or SWMM, including model calibration and validation where data are available.
Perform 1D/2D hydraulic modeling using HEC-RAS for rivers, channels, drainage systems, floodplains, and hydraulic structures.
Prepare technical calculations, model outputs, maps, and reports, and coordinate with GIS, CAD, structural, and other engineering disciplines.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, preferably specializing in Water Resources Engineering / Hydraulic Engineering.
Strong understanding of engineering hydrology, including rainfall analysis, watershed processes, rainfall-runoff transformation, flood frequency analysis, and design discharge estimation.
Familiar with GIS (QGIS/ArcGIS) for watershed delineation, spatial analysis, terrain processing, and preparation of hydrological/hydraulic model inputs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prepare clear technical calculations, engineering reports, and model documentation.
