Get to Know the Team

The ID Food Demand Planning Team is the think tank and in-house strategy overseeing overall topline in Grab ID's P&L and improving user growth across all verticals businesses including mobility and delivery verticals. Our main focus is on developing executable business strategies that align with our mission of serving the community.

Get to Know the Role

As the Demand Strategy Analytics and Automation Lead, you will be the subject matter expert in transforming data into actionable growth initiatives across Grab's primary business which is Food. We are looking for technical and producing insights to make key operational and strategic decisions, while leading daily coordination with Business, Product, and Engineering teams across the company. You will report into the Food Demand Strategy manager and be based onsite in the Grab Jakarta office.

• The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
• Be an industry subject matter expert in using data to measure and analyze business performance
• Develop analytical tools to help business teams be more engaging at monitoring and debugging business performance/issues

Lead data-driven exploration of business opportunities, uncover insights, and identify targeted areas for business growth, e.g., demand spend optimization, Persona-specific campaigns, ML-based differentiated user experience, user retention and LTV boost

Develop mixed effect, causal inference models to understand business configurations that are working sub-optimally and suggest improvements

Partner closely with the broader business, product, and engineering teams to design and analyze experiments that guide key business decisions

Qualifications

• What Essential Skills You Will Need
• 4+ years of analytical experience conjugated with business acumen, preferably in the tech industry
• A Bachelor's/Master's degree, preferably in Analytics, Statistics, Software, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or Engineering
• Strong foundation in data query/manipulation using SQL and data visualization tools (PowerBI)
• Strong statistical knowledge - ideally having utilized controlled experiments in the industry

Strong business sense and ability to articulate complex analyses to a wide range of audiences, and translating these to actionable business insights
