- About the Channel
We're building a faceless animated YouTube channel in the style of OverSimplified and Sam O'Nella Academy, covering stories about money, power, and corporate scandal throughout history. Research and scripting are already handled. What we need is someone who can bring the visual side to life, designing our characters and world, and then making them move.

- What You'll Do
Design and illustrate recurring characters in a flat, cel-shaded cartoon style, and lock each one into a consistent model so they look the same in every episode
Illustrate or clean up backgrounds, props, and scene elements
Take AI-generated drafts or references and refine them into a consistent, polished final style, so nothing looks out of place next to hand-illustrated work
Rig characters for simple puppet-style animation (limbs, mouth movement, basic gestures) — think OverSimplified-style movement, not complex character animation
- Animate scenes at a simple level, moving pieces around and timing to dialogue, not frame-by-frame heavy animation
- Work from a written storyboard to translate it into finished visuals and motion
- What We're Not Looking For
- Fine artists who only want to illustrate from a blank canvas and aren't comfortable refining or building on AI-generated material
- Someone who needs heavy direction to maintain a consistent character style once it's been established
- Pure animators with no illustration ability, or pure illustrators with no interest in learning simple rigging
Requirements
- Real illustration experience, with a portfolio showing a clean, flat, cartoon/vector style (not painterly or photorealistic)
- Comfortable working with standard illustration and animation tools
- Strong eye for consistency, color and style across many separate assets
- Good at storyboard creation, concept development, and visual storytelling
- Basic English comprehension, enough to understand the script and storyboard notes
