Line Manager

PT. DMU LOGISTICS GROUP INDONESIA, a leading logistics company in China, is currently seeking an experienced Procurement/Pricing Senior Staff to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing procurement and pricing processes across our operations, ensuring we provide the best services and products at competitive prices

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage relationships with shipping lines, carriers, and other key stakeholders to secure competitive freight rates and service agreements.

Oversee the daily liner shipping operations, including vessel scheduling, space allocation, and cargo coordination.

Optimize cargo bookings and maximize vessel utilization to ensure profitability.Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to ensure reliable supply and optimal costs.

• Negotiate and manage contracts with shipping lines and ensure compliance with agreed terms and conditions.
• Analyze market trends, price changes, and price-influencing factors to inform competitive pricing.
• Oversee and monitor procurement processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Provide strategic input and recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement and pricing processes.
• Develop costing and pricing structures for logistics services (transportation, warehousing, and distribution)
• Prepare quotations and tender documents based on client requirements
• Collaborate with the Sales team to design competitive pricing strategies
• Conduct profitability analysis and perform periodic pricing evaluations
• Coordinate with the Operations team regarding cost estimation and service feasibility
• Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Management, Supply Chain Logistics, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in liner shipping, freight forwarding, or maritime logistics.
• Fluent/proficient in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong negotiation skills and a thorough understanding of procurement best practices.
• Understanding of market trends, data analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
• Detail-oriented and strong multitasking abilities.

Good understanding of Indonesian logistics and transportation regulations, particularly requirements applicable to Transportation Management Services (Jasa Pengurusan Transportasi / JPT).

• Where required by applicable laws and regulations, at least 5 years of experience in Transportation Management Services (JPT).
• Candidates holding relevant professional qualifications or competency certifications will be highly preferred, including:
• FIATA Diploma in Freight Forwarding
• IATA Diploma
• Professional Competency Certificate in Freight Forwarding
• Competency Certificate in Supply Chain Management
• Customs Expert Certificate
• Port Management / Port Operations Certificate

Ability to support and maintain the company's business operations, facilities, and professional competency requirements in accordance with applicable business and regulatory standards.

Familiarity with, or ability to support, the fulfilment of operational commitments, licensing requirements, and compliance obligations stipulated under the OSS system and by the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia.

Salary can be lower or higher base on experience and knowledge. Management will consider.
