About the role
- Liuli Mandarin is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated
- Mandarin Teacher
- to join our secondary education team in Serpong Utara Banten. This is a
- full-time position
where you will play a crucial role in developing students' proficiency in Mandarin language and fostering an appreciation for Chinese culture. As a Mandarin Teacher, you will be instrumental in shaping the linguistic abilities and cultural awareness of secondary-level learners, contributing directly to our institution's mission of providing comprehensive language education.
- Key responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging Mandarin language lessons that align with curriculum objectives and cater to various proficiency levels
- Assess student progress through examinations, assignments, and oral evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support learning
- Create a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and cultural engagement
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and resources that incorporate both traditional and contemporary teaching methodologies
- Incorporate Chinese culture, traditions, and customs into lessons to enhance cultural competency and language acquisition
- Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate interdisciplinary projects and maintain consistency across language programmes
- Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding academic progress and attendance
- Participate in professional development activities and stay current with effective language teaching practices
- Support extracurricular activities such as language clubs, cultural events, and Mandarin competitions
- What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Mandarin Language, Chinese Studies, Education, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at secondary level, preferably in Mandarin language instruction
- Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (Simplified or Traditional characters)
- Strong command of English language skills for effective communication in a diverse educational environment
- Teaching qualification or certification such as TEFL, CELTA, or equivalent Mandarin teaching credentials
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities
- Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and digital learning platforms
- Passion for cultural exchange and promoting Mandarin language learning
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
