• Manufacturing Test Development Senior Engineer

to join our team in Batam Kota, Riau Islands. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to lead and develop advanced testing solutions within our manufacturing operations. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a strategic role in enhancing our test capabilities, ensuring product quality, and driving continuous improvement across our manufacturing processes. This role requires someone with deep expertise in electrical and electronic engineering who can take ownership of complex test development projects and mentor junior team members.

• Key responsibilities
• Design, develop, and implement advanced manufacturing test procedures and protocols for electrical and electronic components and systems
• Lead the development and optimisation of test equipment, fixtures, and automated testing solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Conduct root cause analysis on test failures and product defects, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures
• Collaborate with design, quality, and production teams to establish comprehensive testing requirements and specifications
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, test plans, and standard operating procedures
• Validate and qualify new testing methodologies and equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians within the test development team
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and electronic testing issues, providing technical guidance and solutions
• Monitor and report on test performance metrics, identifying opportunities for process improvement
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality systems throughout all testing operations

Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field

More than 5 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing test engineering, production test development, or high-volume hardware environments.

• Strong skills in Python, C/C++, Bash, or Shell scripting for test automation.
• Hands-on expertise using lab instruments like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and data acquisition (DAQ) systems
• Proficiency with frameworks like LabVIEW, NI TestStand, or custom test automation solutions.

Ability to architect end-to-end test strategies (from structural to functional and system-level tests) and design production-rate test stations.

Experience working with cross-functional design teams, vendors, and contract manufacturers (CM/JDM) during New Product Introduction (NPI)

Strong root-cause debugging and troubleshooting skills for complex hardware and software issues in production (consumer electronics, automotive, medical)

• Knowledge of statistical analysis, yield monitoring, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools
