WE ARE HIRING: MERCHANDISER COSTING
Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Management, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Minimum
- 2–3 years of experience
- as a Merchandiser Costing, Costing Merchandiser, Costing Staff, or similar role in the garment, textile, or fashion industry
- Strong understanding of
- product costing, material consumption analysis, garment manufacturing processes, and cost structure
- Familiar with garment materials, trims, and value-added manufacturing processes such as
- printing, embroidery, washing, and finishing
- Proficient in
- Microsoft Excel
- (e.g. VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Table, IF, SUMIFS, and analytical formulas) and familiar with ERP systems
- Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Good communication and coordination skills with internal teams and suppliers
- Able to communicate in English, both written and spoken, for technical documents and supplier or buyer correspondence

- Negotiate material prices and commercial terms with suppliers to achieve competitive product costs

Collaborate with Product Development, Merchandiser Sample, Pattern Maker, Industrial Engineering, Purchasing, and other related teams to validate costing assumptions
- Support the preparation of quotations and commercial pricing proposals for internal decision-making and buyer negotiations
- Maintain and update material pricing databases and costing information within the ERP system
- Prepare periodic reports on product cost, margin analysis, and profitability performance
- Monitor market trends, material price movements, and production costs to support competitive costing strategies
