- Key responsibilities
- Monitor and collect environmental data including air quality, water quality and soil conditions at designated monitoring points
- Conduct routine environmental inspections and audits to ensure compliance with Indonesian environmental regulations and company policies
- Prepare environmental monitoring reports and maintain comprehensive environmental records
- Support the implementation of environmental management systems and procedures across mining operations
- Assist in the development and execution of environmental mitigation and remediation programmes
- Conduct environmental awareness and training sessions for operational staff
- Liaise with environmental contractors and government agencies on regulatory matters
- Identify potential environmental risks and recommend corrective actions
- Support the management of waste streams and recycling programmes
- Participate in environmental impact assessments and baseline studies
- What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of Indonesian environmental regulations and mining legislation
- Knowledge of environmental monitoring techniques and methodologies
- Proficiency in data analysis and environmental reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Indonesian and English
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Familiarity with environmental management systems and ISO 14001 standards (preferred)
- Experience in mining operations or related industries (preferred)
- Willingness to work on-site in a remote mining location
- Valid driver's license (preferred)
