About the role
- We are seeking an experienced
- Operations Manager Warehouse 3PL
to join our team in Medan, Sumatera Utara. This is a full-time position that offers a strategic opportunity to lead and oversee all warehouse operations, ensuring smooth, efficient and compliant logistics activities. As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for driving operational performance, managing teams, optimising warehouse processes and maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service. This role is crucial to our success and will provide you with the opportunity to make a significant impact on our business operations.
- Key responsibilities
- Oversee all daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing and despatch of goods
- Manage and supervise warehouse staff
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, conducting regular safety audits and implementing corrective actions
- Optimise warehouse layout, inventory management systems and operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Monitor and control inventory accuracy, conducting regular stock counts and reconciliations
- Manage warehouse budgets, including costs for labour, equipment maintenance and operational expenses
- Implement and maintain quality control standards to ensure accurate order fulfilment and customer satisfaction
- Coordinate with logistics teams, procurement and customers to ensure timely and efficient service delivery
- Analyse operational metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of warehouse activities, inventory and related matters
- Ensure effective communication between warehouse operations and other departments
- What we're looking for
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations management or a similar logistics role
- Proven track record of successfully managing warehouse teams and achieving operational targets
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control systems
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Demonstrated commitment to health, safety and environmental compliance standards
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data analysis
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing operational requirements
- Knowledge of Indonesian logistics and distribution industry practices
- Certification in warehouse management or logistics is advantageous
