We are looking for a candidate to build and manage the group's overseas agent network i.e. forwarders abroad who route Indonesia-bound cargo through us, and origin partners who help us consolidate shipments and manage shipments to either Singapore or Indonesia directly.

Responsibilities

Identify, approach, and onboard overseas freight forwarders as partners

Secure origin partners with existing sea and air consolidation lanes into Singapore, including those that accept small volumes without a minimum CBM

• Promote our Indonesia all-in door-to-door import service (DDP) to foreign forwarders who needs to deliver into Indonesia
• Negotiate and maintain agency agreements, rate arrangements, and reciprocal or nomination business

Represent the company on freight networks (JCtrans, WCA, or similar): manage our profile, respond to inquiries, and attend network conferences

• Coordinate with operations so partner shipments run smoothly from origin to delivery
• Track partner performance and volume, and report pipeline and results monthly

Targets you will be measured on

• Number of active agents per trade lane (active means shipping, not just signed)
• Monthly nomination and partner cargo volume
• Revenue from the DDP services

Requirements

• At least 4 years in freight forwarding, with at least 2 years in overseas sales, agency development, or a similar partner-facing role
• An existing network of overseas agent contacts
• Hands-on experience with JCtrans, WCA, or other forwarder networks
• Familiarity with transshipment and consolidation via Singapore is preferred
• Solid understanding of Indonesian import procedures, customs, and Incoterms (especially DDP)
• Fluent English, written and spoken
• Transparent in dealing with partners, including disclosure of any potential side arrangements or commissions
• Comfortable building from scratch with limited structure
