About the role

• Canggu Community School (Badung) is seeking a
• PE Teaching Assistant for Secondary
• to join our Physical Education department. This is a
• full-time position

, where you will work alongside our PE staff to support the delivery of high-quality physical education programmes to secondary students. This role is vital to creating an engaging, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment where students develop their athletic skills, confidence, and passion for physical activity.

Key responsibilities

Assist qualified PE teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering secondary physical education lessons across a range of sports and activities

• Provide hands-on support to students during practical PE sessions, offering guidance on technique, safety, and skill development
• Help set up and maintain sports facilities, equipment, and resources before and after lessons
• Supervise students during PE activities, ensuring a safe and well-organised learning environment
• Support students with varying abilities, including those requiring additional assistance or modified activities
• Assist in the organisation and running of school sporting events, competitions, and inter-school fixtures
• Monitor and record student progress and participation in PE activities
• Contribute to the health, wellbeing, and pastoral care of students through PE engagement
• Maintain excellent communication with PE staff and other members of the school community
• What we're looking for
• Educational background in Physical Education or another relevant field.
• Good subject knowledge of a variety of sports and physical activities relevant to secondary education
• Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to work effectively alongside teaching staff
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of young people
• Physical fitness and the ability to demonstrate activities and techniques where appropriate

A relevant qualification in PE, sports science, or a related field is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates

• Experience working in an educational setting or with young people is advantageous
• Flexibility and adaptability in supporting diverse learners and different teaching styles
