- We Are seeking a dedicated and compassionate
- Kennel Attendant (Dog Keeper) Pribadi
to join our team in Jakarta. This is a full-time position that plays an essential role in our animal welfare operations. As a Kennel Attendant, you will be responsible for the daily care, maintenance and wellbeing of dogs in our facilities. This role is fundamental to ensuring our animals receive the highest standard of care and live in clean, safe and enriching environments. You will work on-site in Jakarta and be an integral part of our commitment to animal welfare excellence.
- Key responsibilities
- Daily feeding and providing fresh water to all dogs in the kennel facilities
- Cleaning and sanitising kennels, runs and common areas to maintain hygiene standards
- Monitoring dogs' health and behaviour, reporting any concerns to senior staff or veterinarians
- Exercising and socialising dogs through walks, play sessions and interaction to promote physical and mental wellbeing
- Assisting with basic grooming tasks such as brushing and bathing dogs
- Maintaining detailed records of feeding schedules, health observations and behavioural notes
- Preparing and distributing appropriate food portions according to dietary requirements
- Assisting veterinarians and senior kennel staff with medical care procedures when required
- Ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly maintained and stored
- Supporting the transport and handling of dogs in a safe and humane manner
- What we're looking for
- Proven experience working with dogs in a kennel, shelter, farm or similar animal care environment
- A genuine passion for animal welfare and demonstrated commitment to high standards of care
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, including lifting, cleaning and exercising dogs
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of canine behaviour and health indicators
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions from senior staff
- Willingness to learn and develop expertise in animal care practices
- Familiarity with health and safety protocols in animal care settings is preferred
