Job Summary
Responsible for leading procurement activities to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and quality acquisition of goods and services. This role oversees sourcing strategies, supplier performance, contract management, and procurement operations while driving cost optimization, process improvements, and compliance with company policies to support business growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead sourcing and supplier selection processes for raw materials, packaging materials, indirect purchases, and operational supplies.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, payment conditions, and contracts to achieve optimal value for the company.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining product quality and supply continuity.
- Build, evaluate, and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers to improve service levels and business partnerships.
- Monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery, responsiveness, pricing competitiveness, and compliance.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Production, R&D, QA, Finance, Marketing, and Operations to support procurement planning and business needs.
- Review purchasing trends, spending analysis, and procurement KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead tender and bidding processes for strategic procurement projects.
- Monitor inventory-related procurement activities to minimize stock shortages, overstock, and obsolete inventory.
- Develop procurement reports, budgets, forecasts, and performance dashboards for management.
- Identify procurement risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure supply continuity.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coach, develop, and manage procurement team members to achieve departmental objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
- Minimum
- 5–8 years
- of procurement experience, with at least
- 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role
- Strong experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and commercial negotiation.
- Experience handling
- Fresh Food, Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, Ingredients, or FMCG procurement
- is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management, spend analysis, and supplier performance management.
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or similar.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in Food Manufacturing, FMCG, Retail, Hospitality, or Restaurant Chain is preferred.
