About the role
- We are seeking a
- Productivity and Efficiency Engineer
- to join yuni bersaudara sejahtera in Pekanbaru, Riau. This is a
- full-time position
that plays a crucial role in optimising our operational processes, minimizing losses and maximising productivity across our operations. As Productivity and Efficiency Engineer, you will be responsible for analysing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing solutions that enhance performance and reduce waste. This role is integral to driving continuous improvement and ensuring our teams operate at peak efficiency whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
- Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of existing processes, workflows and operational systems to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement
- Develop and implement efficiency improvement strategies and productivity enhancement programmes tailored to our operational environment
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and productivity metrics to track progress and measure the impact of implemented changes
- Collaborate with team leads and operational staff to understand challenges and co-create solutions that are practical and sustainable
- Design and optimise labour scheduling, task allocation and resource utilisation to maximise output and minimise downtime
- Conduct time and motion studies to establish realistic performance benchmarks and identify opportunities for process optimisation
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations on productivity improvements, cost savings and operational enhancements
- Provide training and support to staff on new processes, procedures and best practices to ensure smooth implementation of changes
- Investigate and resolve operational issues that may be impacting efficiency or productivity
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of process improvements and efficiency initiatives
- What we're looking for
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
- Proven experience in process improvement, lean management or six sigma methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable recommendations
- Experience in labour-intensive industries or manufacturing environments is highly desirable
- Proficiency with productivity measurement tools, process mapping software and data analysis applications
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage staff at all levels and present findings clearly
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment whilst also working independently
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with Indonesian labour regulations and local operational practices is advantageous
