About the role

• We are seeking a strategic and experienced
• Purchasing Manager

to join the team at Yuni Bersaudara Sejahtera. This is a full-time position based in Pekanbaru, Riau, and represents a key opportunity to lead and optimise our procurement operations. As Purchasing Manager, you will oversee all purchasing activities, vendor management, and inventory control to ensure efficient supply chain operations. This role is integral to supporting our manufacturing, transportation and logistics operations, and will have a significant impact on our operational efficiency and cost management.

• Key responsibilities
• Develop and implement comprehensive purchasing strategies and policies that align with company objectives and industry best practices
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and supplier performance evaluation
• Oversee inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels whilst minimising carrying costs and wastage
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to secure competitive pricing and reliable supply chains
• Monitor market trends and commodity prices to identify cost-saving opportunities and procurement efficiencies
• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Analyse purchasing data and generate reports to provide insights into spending patterns and recommendations for improvement
• Collaborate with operational teams to forecast demand and align procurement activities with business requirements
• Lead and mentor the purchasing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
• Manage purchase orders, invoices and payment processes to maintain accurate financial records
• What we're looking for
• 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain management within manufacturing, transportation or logistics sectors
• Proven track record of successfully managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts to achieve cost savings
• Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and procurement software
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments
• Demonstrated leadership capability with experience supervising and developing team members
• Knowledge of supply chain regulations and compliance standards relevant to manufacturing and logistics operations
• Indonesian language proficiency is preferred, particularly for local supplier engagement
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field is preferred
