- Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product, BA, Developer, and QA Manual to understand acceptance criteria and testing scenarios.
- Design test scenarios and test cases based on requirements/user stories.
- Develop automated tests (UI, API, Mobile) using agreed-upon tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, Rest Assured).
- Implement test data management and a stable test environment (mock-ups, stubbing).
- Run regression suites regularly and smoke tests on every build.
- Integrate tests into the CI/CD pipeline (GitLab CI/GitHub Actions/Jenkins/Azure DevOps).
- Perform defect management: logging, reproducibility, prioritization, and verification of fixes.
- Create and maintain test documentation (test plans, test cases, test reports, coverage).
- Monitor quality metrics (pass rate, defect density, escape rate, automation coverage) and recommend process improvements.
- Identify shift-left testing and quality gating opportunities to prevent bugs from occurring.
- Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (Information Systems, Informatics, or related) or equivalent experience
- Having 2–4 years of experience as a QA/Tester with a focus on automation
- Understanding of SDLC, testing concepts (functional, regression, smoke, sanity, UAT), and Agile/Scrum
Experience Automation Framework & Tools Web UI: Selenium WebDriver / Cypress / Playwright, Katalon Studio, API: Postman/Newman, Rest Assured, Karate, Pact, Mobile: Appium (Android/iOS) & Unit/Component: Jest/Mocha/JUnit/TestNG
- Commonly used programming languages for QA: JavaScript/TypeScript & Java
- Thorough, well-documented, and has high ownership
- Able to work with sprint deadlines and dynamic priorities
