We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the reliability, functionality, and performance of our software products across web, mobile, and backend systems. The successful candidate will design and execute comprehensive test strategies, build automated test frameworks, and work closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to catch issues before they reach production. This is a hands-on role for a QA professional who is equally comfortable writing detailed manual test cases, building automation scripts, and driving quality standards across the full software development lifecycle.

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Test Planning & Strategy
• Design and develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on functional and technical requirements.
• Define QA scope, entry/exit criteria, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with product managers and engineering leads.
• Review user stories, requirements, and technical specifications to identify gaps, ambiguities, and edge cases before development begins.
• Identify and prioritize test coverage across functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
• Manual & Automated Testing
• Execute manual test cases across web, mobile, and API layers; log defects with clear reproduction steps and severity classification.
• Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts using frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
• Develop and maintain API test suites using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and fast feedback loops.
• Conduct regression, smoke, and sanity testing prior to each release to ensure existing functionality remains unaffected.
• Defect Management & Reporting
• Track, triage, and manage defects through their full lifecycle using tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar platforms.
• Perform root cause analysis on recurring defects and collaborate with developers to implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain test summary reports, coverage metrics, and quality dashboards for stakeholders.
• Coordinate UAT cycles with business users, documenting evidence and securing sign-off for each release.
• Collaboration & Process Improvement
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily standups to ensure QA is embedded early in the development cycle.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to define quality gates and release readiness criteria.
• Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes, tools, and best practices to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
• Mentor junior QA team members and contribute to internal QA documentation and knowledge base.
• Required Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance or testing roles.
• Proven experience designing test plans and executing manual and automated tests across web and mobile applications.
• Experience testing RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional product development environment is preferred.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Required Skills
• Testing & Automation
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC across functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
• Proficiency with API testing tools: Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI.
• Working knowledge of scripting/programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java for test automation.
• Experience with performance and load testing tools (JMeter, k6, or Gatling) is a plus.
• Tools & Technologies
• Experience with defect and test management tools: Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Working knowledge of version control systems (Git).
• Basic understanding of SQL for data validation and backend testing.

• Effective written and verbal communication in English; able to produce clear test documentation and defect reports.
