Yayasan Hutan Tropis

was legally established in Indonesia in 2005 as a national non-profit organization (Yayasan). We are affiliated with the Earthworm Foundation as the implementing partner for activities in Indonesia. Our offices are based in Semarang and Jakarta, with a total of 73 staffs. Our operational areas include Aceh, North Sumatra, Riau, and East Kalimantan.

• Your Role
• Lead the creation and operationalization of the regional strategy in service of Earthworm’s mission.
• Develop and animate strategic partnerships with companies (brands, traders, producers).
• Lead the senior team and create an environment of transparency, honesty and trust, where team members
• freely share their views and ideas,
• express and grow their unique individual qualities
• seek to collaborate within and beyond their office in the interest of the organisation’s impact and mission

Ensure operations are well managed. This means

• Teams well-structured and able to prioritise effectively.
• Ensure quality, timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Ensure the professional management of administrative, legal, IT and financial processes
• Foster innovations and thought leadership to grow the organisation’s value propositions and impact
• Ensure high-quality partnerships with Government, Civil Society, Companies, Implementing Partners and Donors that grow funding and impact.
• Your Profile

You thrive on human relations and are able to explain your vision to all. You are able to develop business relationships and strategic partnerships. You’re a great collaborator; you can build discipline and structure into team leadership whilst growing talent. Your passion and energy for the work shows in everything you do. You speak your mind and challenge when you do not agree. You do not shy away from the difficult conversations. You are ok with the unknown and value agility. Lastly, you’re able to keep teams grounded in practical actions and able to move the ball forward without losing sight of long-term goals.

• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher
• Experience: 10 years minimum in leadership role
• Language(s): Bahasa Indonesia & English
• Employment: Full time, 12 months fixed-term contract
• Location: Jakarta or Semarang, Indonesia
