Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field.

Experience

5 to 7+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with a minimum of 2 years functioning in a senior, lead, or supervisory capacity.

Industry Background

Direct experience in property development, construction, or real estate is highly preferred due to the specific nature of project financing.

Certifications

A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA, CA, or local equivalent) is a strong advantage.

Financial Reporting & Group Planning

Create comprehensive financial reports, group-level budgets, and long-term financial plans to guide executive decision-making.

Team Supervision

Oversee daily accounting operations, reviewing, auditing, and validating the output (e.g., journal entries, reconciliations) produced by the accounting staff.

Project Finance & Modeling

Create and manage financial projections, feasibility studies, and ROI analyses for new and ongoing developments.

Construction Receivables

Track client financial milestones, ensuring that progress billings and payments align perfectly with construction phases and handover schedules.

Spend Management & Budgeting

Supervise, strategize, and meticulously track construction expenditures, conducting routine budget-vs-actual variance analysis to prevent cost overruns.

Advanced financial modeling skills in Excel and hands-on experience with modern ERP systems, accounting software (e.g., Xero, SAP), and project management tools.

Analytical Rigor

Exceptional ability to analyze cost variances, identify financial risks within the supply chain, and strategize proactive cost-saving measures.

Leadership & Collaboration

Proven ability to mentor staff and translate complex financial data clearly to operations teams, legal departments, and executive leadership.
