- Job Purpose
- We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented
- Shift Manufacturing Supervisor
to lead our production operations and frontline teams during assigned shift. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing execution while driving continuous improvement and employee engagement.
The ideal candidate is a strong people leader, with proven manufacturing experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor production operational activities, analyze performance, and recommend effective and efficient work methods to ensure targets are achieved on time, with the required quality standards and safety compliance.
- Optimize machine utilization, material consumption, and workforce resources to achieve optimal production performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to support and achieve company objectives.
Ensure all production activities comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions (WI), One-Point Lessons (OPL), and company policies.
- Ensure product quality standards are consistently maintained in accordance with specified requirements.
- Identify and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
- Coordinate with the Quality, Engineering, PPIC, Warehouse, and Maintenance departments to ensure smooth production operations.
- Ensure implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS/EHS), 5S/5R practices, and compliance with workplace environmental regulations.
- Authority
Adjust production if materials, drawings, or Batch Cards do not meet the required standards, unless authorized recommendations or concessions have been granted by the appropriate authority.
- Issue warnings to Operators, Staff, Supervisors, Managers, and visitors within the work area who fail to wear the required safety equipment.
- Stop machinery that is considered hazardous or has the potential to endanger operators or damage materials.
- Issue verbal warnings or disciplinary notices to Operators and Team Leaders for violations of company rules or procedures.
- Assign Team Leaders and Operators to work overtime as required.
- Propose manpower requirements, overtime needs, training programs, and process improvement initiatives.
- Conduct performance evaluations and recommend coaching, development, or corrective actions for subordinates.
Qualifications
Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor is an advantage.
Strong understanding of production processes, Quality Control, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S/5R, and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS/EHS).
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is an advantage.
