As the Shipping Agency Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end ship agency operations across multiple ports in Indonesia, ensuring smooth vessel operations, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
Manage the full cycle of ship agency operations for bulk and general cargo vessels, including vessel arrival, customs and port clearance, cargo operations, and departure formalities.
Lead and supervise local field operations teams, including manpower planning, shift scheduling, task allocation, coaching, and performance management.
Build and maintain strong relationships with maritime authorities, customs, immigration, quarantine, port operators, pilot stations, tugboat providers, and other key stakeholders.
Coordinate with headquarters, international shipowners, vessel masters, and business partners regarding voyage planning, operational updates, and issue resolution in English.
Review and control port charges, agency payment, vessel-related expenses, demurrage/despatch costs, and ensure accurate billing, reconciliation, cost control, and payment collection.
Ensure full compliance with Indonesian maritime, customs, immigration, environmental, and taxation regulations to minimize operational and legal risks.
Handle operational emergencies, including crew changes, repatriation, vessel supplies, spare parts delivery, fumigation, waste disposal, cargo disputes, and cargo damage claims.
Prepare operational reports, maintain business records, analyze operational performance, optimize workflows, achieve business KPIs, and support business development initiatives.
