Strategic Planning Assistant Manager

About the role

As the Financial Planning & Analysis Assistant Manager at PT Samindo Resources Tbk, you will play a key role in managing the company’s financial planning, business analysis, and performance monitoring activities. Reporting directly to the management team, you will be responsible for coordinating business planning processes, analyzing the financial and operational performance of subsidiaries, and providing actionable recommendations to support management decision-making. This full-time position is based in South Jakarta, Jakarta.

• What you'll be doing
• Coordinate the preparation of the company’s annual business plan, budget, financial forecast, and long-term financial projections.
• Review and consolidate business plans, budgets, and financial projections submitted by subsidiaries.
• Analyze the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and operational performance of subsidiaries.
• Evaluate subsidiaries’ revenue, profitability, cost structure, cash flow, financial position, and key operational performance indicators.
• Identify financial and operational performance gaps against approved budgets, forecasts, and business targets.
• Develop action plans and strategic recommendations to improve the business and financial performance of subsidiaries.
• Lead variance analysis and provide clear explanations regarding material deviations from the approved business plan and budget.
• Review financial models, scenario analyses, feasibility studies, and investment evaluations prepared by the FP&A team.
• Conduct comprehensive business analysis to assess profitability, operational efficiency, sustainability, and growth potential.

Prepare and review management reports, financial performance dashboards, and presentation materials for the Board of Directors and other stakeholders.

Coordinate with Finance, Accounting, Tax, Business Development, Operations, and subsidiary management teams to collect and validate financial and operational data.

• Review financial statements and ensure that business analysis is supported by accurate and reliable accounting information.
• Monitor the implementation and progress of agreed business improvement initiatives and corrective action plans.
• Provide guidance and supervision to FP&A team members in conducting financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Improve financial planning, business performance monitoring, reporting, and data analysis processes.
• What we're looking for
• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Management or related fields from a reputable university.
• Minimum 8 years of experience
• in strategic planning, corporate planning, business analysis, financial analysis, performance management or related roles.
• Preferably experienced in mining or holding company.
• Strong ability to analyze subsidiary financial and operational performance.
• Good understanding of business planning, budgeting and performance evaluation.
• Able to review business plans, targets, actual performance, identify gaps, risks and improvement areas.
• Strong analytical thinking, business acumen and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, especially for business analysis, reporting, and management presentation.
• Willing to undertake business trips as required.
