Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain reliable, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Install, configure, monitor, and maintain servers, operating systems, virtualization platforms and enterprise applications.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity and perform proactive maintenance to ensure high system reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, network, server and operating system issues in a timely manner.
- Implement and maintain system security, including access control, patch management, endpoint protection and vulnerability remediation.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for system administration, deployment and operational tasks.
- Support backup, disaster recovery, business continuity and high-availability solutions.
Collaborate with Software Engineers, Security Teams and business stakeholders to support application deployment and infrastructure requirements.
- Maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures and infrastructure diagrams.
- Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies and best practices to improve infrastructure performance, scalability, and security.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor in computer science or related in IT fields.
- 2–5 years of experience as a System Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, System Administrator, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows Server administration.
- Experience managing virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox, or KVM.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, switching, VLAN, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools) is an advantage.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes is a plus.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar platforms.
- Experience with scripting or automation using Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts, Git, and basic DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of system security, backup strategies, disaster recovery, and high availability is preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
