About the Role

• Tax and Treasury Specialist

, you will be responsible for all tax and treasury matters at Gain City, including preparing tax filings, cash forecasts, and reports, as well as resolving issues and inquiries relating to tax and treasury matters.

• Key Responsibilities
• Taxation
• Ensure corporate tax, GST, and WHT reporting requirements are met and filed accurately and on time.
• Post tax journals in a timely manner for month-end and year-end closing.
• Ensure year-end provisions for current and deferred taxes are made accurately and on time.
• Monitor local tax regulations and upcoming changes to ensure accurate tax filing.
• Coordinate tax audits, address tax queries, and resolve tax-related issues.
• Address Singapore property tax queries.
• Advise on tax implications, including corporate tax, GST, and withholding tax, for ad hoc projects.
• Support transfer pricing (TP) documentation and other ad hoc assignments.
• Treasury
• Monitor daily cash balances across bank accounts.
• Prepare cash position reports and short-term cash forecasts.
• Track cash flow variances against forecasts.
• Ensure sufficient funds are available for payroll, vendor payments, taxes, and other obligations.
• Optimise cash concentration and intercompany funding.
• Provide management with liquidity and funding updates.
• Support audit requests and regulatory reporting, where applicable.
• Maintain documentation for bank mandates and treasury procedures.
• Perform other ad hoc treasury assignments.
• Qualifications and Requirements
• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Accredited Tax Professional qualification, such as Singapore Chartered Tax Professional, is preferred.
• Minimum
• 5 years of experience
• in tax and treasury functions.
• Good working knowledge of Singapore taxation.
• Strong technical knowledge of direct and indirect taxes.
• Understanding of cash forecasting and working capital management.
• Knowledge of banking operations, including payment formats, and e-banking systems.
• Basic understanding of foreign exchange (FX), interest rates, and treasury products.
• Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a high level of initiative and energy.
• Proactive, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Well organised and detail-oriented.
• Hands-on, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
