• Job Summary

The Team Lead Cabling is responsible for leading and supervising cabling installation activities in Data Center projects, including documentation preparation, daily manpower management, and ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with quality standards, project timelines, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Project Execution
• Lead cabling installation activities (UTP, Fiber Optic, Backbone & Horizontal Cabling).
• Supervise installation of cable trays, ladders, trucking, patch panels, rack cabling, and labeling.
• Ensure work execution follows approved shop drawings and Method of Statement (MOS).
• Team Management
• Manage and coordinate daily workers (50–100 manpower per team).
• Allocate daily tasks and monitor work progress.
• Control attendance, discipline, and productivity of workers.
• Conduct daily briefings and safety toolbox meetings.
• Documentation & Reporting

Prepare and manage project documentation, including

• Daily progress reports
• As-built drawing mark-ups
• Material usage reports
• Manpower attendance records
• Coordinate with Project Manager / Site Manager regarding site progress and issues.
• Quality Control
• Ensure installation meets Data Center standards.

Supervise testing activities

• Fluke testing (UTP)
• OTDR & Power Meter testing (Fiber Optic)
• Ensure proper cable labeling and numbering standards.
• Facilitate communication among project team members.
• Schedule and conduct regular team meetings to track progress and address issues.
• Prepare and distribute project status reports
• Material & Tools Control
• Monitor material utilization on site.
• Request additional materials and tools when required.
• Ensure all project tools are properly maintained.
• Safety Compliance
• Ensure all workers comply with HSE / K3 regulations.
• Monitor proper use of PPE.
• Report incidents and near-miss cases on site.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma (D3) in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in cabling projects (Data Center / Building / IT Infrastructure).
• Proven experience managing large teams (50–100 manpower).

Strong knowledge of

• Fiber Optic installation & splicing
• UTP Cat6 / Cat6A / Cat7
• Rack & patch panel management
• Able to read technical drawings and line diagrams.
• Experienced in preparing project reports and documentation.
• Fluent in English (spoken & written) is mandatory.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
