Responsibilities
- Explore new backend technologies, frameworks, databases, tools, vendors, and open-source solutions.
- Build backend prototype, PoC, sandbox, demo environment, or technical simulation when required.
Conduct technical benchmarking and compare backend technology options based on performance, scalability, maintainability, security, cost, and operational complexity.
- Assess integration approach, technical dependencies, deployment model, observability, and delivery risks.
- Prepare technical feasibility report, benchmark result, prototype documentation, and technical recommendation.
Work with Solution Architect and Associate Solution Architect to validate whether explored technologies are aligned with the target architecture.
- Work with Product Engineering to validate implementation complexity and backend development approach.
- Work with DevOps/Infrasec to validate deployment readiness, monitoring, security, and operational maintainability.
- Support internal technical sessions when prototype, benchmark result, or technology clarification is required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Informatics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, or related technical field.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in backend engineering, software development, platform engineering, system integration, or technical prototyping.
- Experience in backend service development using Java, Go, Python, Node.js, or similar programming languages.
- Experience with API development, databases, middleware, message broker, caching, container technology, or backend platform components.
Experience in prototype development, PoC, technical feasibility validation, benchmarking, lab testing, or technology exploration is preferred.
- Strong hands-on capability in backend application development.
- Good understanding of API design, service integration, database usage, authentication, authorization, logging, and error handling.
Familiar with backend technologies such as relational database, NoSQL database, cache, message broker, API gateway, container, or microservices.
- Ability to build prototype, sandbox, demo, or PoC environment.
- Ability to analyze technical feasibility, limitation, performance, scalability, maintainability, and integration complexity.
- Good troubleshooting and technical documentation skills.
Able to translate technical findings into understandable input for Solution Architect, Associate Solution Architect, Product Engineering, and management decision.
- Strong learning attitude and ability to explore new backend tools, frameworks, or technologies independently.
- Nice-toHave (Plus)
- Familiar with cloud environments such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Exposure to enterprise integration environments, middleware platforms, or large-scale enterprise systems.
Possession of relevant certifications related to backend engineering, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, or software architecture is considered an advantage.
